Behind Amanda's Mind

The past couple of years, I’ve suffered from an anxiety disorder that severely disturbed my day to day life. I experienced panic attacks during school hours, making it difficult for me to focus on my schoolwork. This anxiety eventually lead me into a depressive state, unsure about what came next for me. Once I made the choice to ask for help, things took a turn for the better. I had confronted a teacher who took the time to listen to my concerns & even help me through panic attacks. This gave me hope about recovery and the will to keep fighting.

I’m now a mental health advocate striving to help others that once felt as low as myself. I want to devote the rest of my life to helping people help themselves. You aren’t alone, ever. Please trust me, if you or someone you know is going through the same thing, my biggest word of advice is to speak up. Find someone you trust & you will get through it together. I know you can and you will.
